They are looking for a Sales Engineer, Team Lead to join their team in Penang. This role offers the opportunity to manage sales and business activities in Northern Malaysia, lead outside sales activities, and ensure operational plans and objectives are met.

As a Sales Engineer, Team Lead (Industrial Products), you will play a pivotal role in driving the company's growth in Northern Malaysia. Your primary responsibility will be managing sales and business activities, leading outside sales activities, ensuring operational plans are met, and making significant improvements to processes and standards. You will also be tasked with establishing professional relationships with strategic prospects, coordinating business development activities, analyzing bid opportunities, preparing final bid responses with your team, negotiating with potential customers, maintaining customer relationships, conducting product presentations and workshops, educating prospects about the product line, supporting management team representatives on target accounts or territories, maintaining your personal pipeline and customer log.

  • Establish and develop professional relationships with strategic prospects for better understanding and meeting customer needs within the bounds of contracted scope.
  • Coordinate business development activities for prospects to support the defined business strategy.
  • Analyze bid opportunities, prepare final bid responses with team, negotiate with potential customers and maintain customer relationships to win projects.
  • Contact potential prospects to discuss their needs, explain how these needs could be met by specific products and services in order to create new client base and increase sales.
  • Responsible for product presentations and workshops. Educate prospects and advise on the product line, addressing resistance in order to develop business.
  • Support management team representative on target accounts or territories. Maintain personal pipeline and customer log.

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for this Sales Engineer, Team Lead role is someone who is sales driven with a minimum of 3 years of experience in equipment sales & solutions. You should have proven experience in Business Development within the HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) industry as well as project execution and solution selling. A strong focus on sustainability and an understanding of application, energy, mechanical controls, and the HVAC industry is essential. You should be willing to be based at Bayan Lepas, Penang.

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Equipment sales & solutions
  • Experience in Business Development in HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) sales and service
  • Proven track record in project execution and solution selling
  • Strong focus on Sustainability
  • Understanding of Application, Energy, Mechanical controls, and HVAC Industry
  • Willingness to be based at Bayan Lepas, Penang
