Territory Sales Manager

Our client is seeking a dedicated and experienced Territory Sales Manager to be based in Penang for their Life Sciences division.

This role offers an exciting opportunity to manage and develop strategic customer and distributor relationships across a multi-state territory, with the aim of achieving accelerated growth in core scientific market segments. The successful candidate will have the chance to collaborate across regions, contribute to the overall business growth, and build sustainable stakeholder relationships.

What you'll do:

As a Territory Sales Manager, your primary role will be to manage a multi-state geography with responsibility for maintaining and growing our business. You will directly assess, analyse, prioritise, plan and execute our Life Science Strategy in order to achieve defined business objectives. Your excellent relationship-building skills will be utilised as you build and maintain effective stakeholder relationships at site and regional decision-making levels. Your strategic thinking will come into play as you formulate pricing strategies and positioning for regional accounts.

  • Assess, analyse, prioritise, plan and execute the company's Life Science Strategy
  • Build and maintain effective stakeholder relationships at site and regional decision-making levels
  • Formulate pricing strategies and positioning for regional accounts
  • Prospect for new customers and qualify leads
  • Develop, plan and implement sales strategies within the territory
  • Identify and prioritise new business and business growth opportunities
  • Plan effective joint end-user engagement strategies with Distributor teams
  • Utilise selling technologies for reporting, lead generation and conversion tracking

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for the Territory Sales Manager position brings a wealth of sales experience, preferably within B2B environments. Your demonstrated selling/channel experience within the Life Science sector will be highly valued. Knowledge of Life Science distribution networks will give you an edge in this role. Your existing industry, end-user, reseller network will be beneficial. Your sound analytical skills in gathering data from multiple sources and eliciting key interpretive outcomes will be crucial in this role.

  • Minimum 5 years of Sales experience preferably in B2B environments
  • Demonstrated selling/channel experience in the Life Science sector is preferred
  • Knowledge of Life Science distribution networks is an advantage
  • Existing industry, end-user, reseller network is an advantage
  • Sound analytical skills in gathering data from multiple sources and eliciting key interpretive outcomes
  • Budget & reporting skills – monitoring, reporting, defining key issues and corrective strategies
  • Negotiation skills and commercial acumen
