An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Medical Sales Representative role based in Penang. This role is with a global pharmaceuticals company that manages an extensive portfolio of proprietary healthcare brands and licensed brands from some of the world's leading companies.

Reporting to the Senior Area Manager, you will be responsible for achieving territorial sales budgets, ensuring sales and earnings are maintained or increased, consistent with the company's objectives.

What you'll do:

As a Medical Sales Representative, your primary focus will be on achieving territorial sales budgets by effectively executing the sales and marketing plan. You will be tasked with providing monthly sales forecasts, building new account coverage, and maintaining a strong network base with customers. Your role will also involve compiling necessary information for the product complaint office, preparing pre-call and post-call plans, submitting timely reports to your manager, and tracking sales based on various business opportunities.

  • Providing monthly sales forecasts and meeting sales budgets for the assigned product portfolio
  • Building up new account coverage to strengthen the current positioning of the company
  • Building and sustaining a strong network base with customers for consistent sales growth
  • Compiling information and passing onto the product complaint office where necessary
  • Preparing pre-call and post-call plans with clear objectives
  • Submitting all required reports to the respective sales manager in a timely manner
  • Tracking of sales based on business opportunities, sales leads and quotations, following through on the overall purchasing process

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for this Medical Sales Representative role should have a Bachelor's degree/diploma in Science, Chemistry, Marketing, Business Administration or a related field. You should bring at least 2 to 3 years of pharmaceutical sales experience to the table, preferably with hospital channel experience. Good presentation skills, computer literacy, proficiency in English and excellent interpersonal skills are essential. You should also possess your own transport and a valid driving licence.

  • Bachelor's degree/diploma in Science, Chemistry, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field
  • At least 2 to 3 years of pharmaceutical sales experience, preferably hospital channel experience
  • Good presentation skills and computer literacy
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Possession of own transport and a valid driving licence
