Our client is seeking a Sales Manager to join their team in Kedah.

This role is pivotal in managing customer relationships, generating revenue, and increasing market share through research and networking. The successful candidate will be responsible for defining and negotiating contracts, maintaining relationships with new and existing accounts, identifying the need for new products, and providing input for marketing strategies. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a company's growth while developing your skills in sales, account management, product development, and marketing.

What you'll do:

As a Sales Manager, you will play a crucial role in managing customer relationships, generating revenue, increasing market share, and contributing to the company's growth. You will identify prospective accounts through research and networking, negotiate contracts, maintain relationships with new and existing accounts, identify the need for new products, provide input for marketing strategies, benchmark products against competition, manage associated costs, develop key account plans, conduct strategic account reviews, generate forecasts for revenue and product/volume mix, give input to marketing communications strategies, monitor competitive forces that could compromise our position, provide relevant market information to company management.

  • Manage customer/supplier relationships to ensure mutual understanding and cooperation.
  • Generate revenue by identifying prospective accounts through research and networking.
  • Negotiate legal contracts with customers.
  • Maintain relationships with new and existing accounts to protect and grow business opportunities.
  • Identify the need for new products and work with various teams to assist in their development.
  • Provide input for marketing strategies to support company goals.
  • Benchmark products against competition from a technical and business perspective.
  • Manage associated costs as defined by the cost center budget.

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for the Sales Manager role brings a wealth of professional experience including significant account management experience. You have direct working knowledge of industry-specific specifications and quality requirements. Your excellent verbal and written communication skills enable you to build strong relationships both internally and externally. You are competent with Microsoft suite and have a strong ability to determine business drivers, create a strategy for driving growth. Your substantial relationship building and team building abilities will be key in this role. You have a proven track record in prospecting new customers and generating revenues.

  • BS degree or equivalent with 10+ years of professional experience including 5+ years of account management experience.
  • Direct working knowledge of industry-specific specifications and quality requirements.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Competency with Microsoft suite: Word, Excel, Power Point.
  • Strong ability to determine business drivers, create a strategy for driving growth.
  • Substantial relationship building and team building abilities.
  • Proven track record in prospecting new customers and generating revenues.
  • Experience in business/sales planning execution and knowledge of contracting.
