Our client is seeking a dynamic and dedicated Sales Engineer to join their team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to analyse existing and new business market opportunities, establish sales strategies, and execute marketing and sales directions. You will be at the forefront of gathering market intelligence, sourcing new customers, leading the RFQ team, and preparing technical presentations for customers.

What you'll do:

As a Sales Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in driving our client's business growth. You will be responsible for analysing both existing and potential markets, identifying opportunities for expansion. Your expertise in establishing effective sales strategies will be crucial in enhancing the company's presence in your assigned territory. You will also be tasked with executing marketing and sales directions, ensuring that the company's sales objectives are met. A significant part of your role will involve gathering market intelligence and providing feedback to the Sales Manager and Business Development team. Your ability to source new customers will contribute significantly to expanding the company's market base.

  • Analyse existing and new business market opportunities including extensive marketing research
  • Establish sales strategies in search of business opportunities in assigned territory
  • Execute given marketing and sales direction to achieve sales objectives
  • Gather market and competitors information for feedback to Sales Manager and Business Development team
  • Source for new customers to expand market base
  • Lead the RFQ team and prepare quotations for customers
  • Prepare and deliver technical presentations explaining products and services to customers
  • Attend to product complaints and suggestions from customers
  • Continuously enhance product/application/solution knowledge

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for this Sales Engineer position brings a wealth of skills and qualifications. You should possess at least a Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma or Professional Degree in Engineering (Mechanical), Engineering (Electrical/Electronic) or equivalent. Your proven sales track record coupled with your strategic thinking abilities will enable you to penetrate new markets and develop new accounts effectively. Your demonstrated problem-solving skills will be crucial in creating engineering solutions for our customers. We are looking for a confident, independent, outgoing, self-driven, proactive and creative individual who is willing to travel. Your ability to communicate effectively, handle information timely and present well will make you a valuable addition to our team.

  • Possess at least a Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma or Professional Degree in Engineering (Mechanical), Engineering (Electrical/Electronic) or equivalent
  • Proven sales track record and strategic thinking abilities with the capacity to penetrate new markets and develop new accounts
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills with the ability to create engineering solutions for customers
  • Confident, independent, outgoing, self-driven, proactive, creative personality with willingness to travel
  • Effective communication skills tailored to audience needs
  • Timely handling of information with appropriate dissemination to all concerned parties
  • Good presentation skills with a team player attitude
