Our client is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Assistant Merchandising Manager to join their team in Kuala Lumpur. What you'll do:
As an Assistant Merchandising Manager, your role will be pivotal in supporting the achievement of business plans and sales targets. You will be responsible for ensuring the right amount of merchandise mix in stores at all times, developing and executing merchandising/sales/production strategies, and revising plans according to actual sales situations. Your analytical skills will be crucial in minimizing Out of Stock SKUs through thorough review and forecasting. Working as part of a team, you will aim to maximize sales and profit while minimizing year-end inventory.
- Ensure the right amount of merchandise mix in stores at all times
- Develop and execute merchandising/sales/production strategies
- Revise plans according to actual sales situation and adjust production by SKU
- Minimize Out of Stock SKU by percentage through thorough review and forecasting each item and its SKU’s sales
- Maximize sales and profit, minimize year-end inventory, and eliminate SKU out of stock as part of a team
- Handle AD-Hoc tasks through proactively seeking out information and taking appropriate actions when changes arise
What you bring:
The ideal Assistant Merchandising Manager candidate will bring a wealth of knowledge from their academic background in Marketing, Business Studies, Mass Communication or any other related field. A strong commercial acumen is essential for this role, along with an interest in understanding the latest consumer trends. The successful candidate will be self-driven, able to take ownership of tasks, and act promptly to accomplish performance targets.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Studies, Mass Communication or any other related field
- Good figure and analysis skills
- 4-5 years working experience in any related field is preferred but fresh graduates are welcome to apply
- Strong commercial acumen with an interest in understanding latest consumer trends and behavior
- Self-driven with the ability to take ownership and act promptly to accomplish performance targets and expectations
