Our client is seeking a dynamic and experienced Sales Manager (Head of Department) to lead their team in Penang.

This role offers an exciting opportunity to develop business plans and sales strategies that ensure the attainment of company goals and profitability. You will be responsible for developing new markets, maintaining key customers, and leading a high-performing sales team. With your strong leadership qualities, you will drive the performance of the sales department, ensuring targets are met and new business opportunities are identified.

What you'll do:

As a Sales Manager (Head of Department), you will play a pivotal role in driving the success of our client's business. Your primary responsibility will be to develop a robust business plan and sales strategy that ensures the attainment of company goals. You will lead a team of dedicated sales professionals, providing them with clear direction and motivation to achieve their individual targets. Your excellent communication skills will be put to good use as you conduct sales presentations and negotiate with customers on quotations. You will also be responsible for preparing and managing regular sales forecasts, ensuring timely collection of payments from customers, and maintaining a healthy debtor aging status.

  • Develop a business plan and sales strategy for the market
  • Prepare action plans for effective search of sales leads and prospects
  • Maintain key customers while developing new markets
  • Provide accurate forecasting of sales opportunities
  • Plan, develop and manage sales targets and strategies
  • Conduct sales presentations and negotiate with customers on quotations
  • Prepare and manage bi-weekly, monthly, quarterly and yearly Sales forecasts
  • Ensure timely collection of payment from customers & maintain a healthy debtor aging status

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for this Sales Manager (Head of Department) position brings a wealth of experience in the Automation industry. With at least 5 years' experience as a Sales Lead, you have proven your ability to drive results and lead successful teams. Your degree in Engineering, Business Studies, Management, Marketing or Commerce has equipped you with the knowledge necessary to excel in this role. Your strong presentation skills enable you to effectively communicate complex ideas to diverse audiences. You are highly self-motivated with an analytical mind and good process mapping skills.

  • Degree in Engineering, Business Studies, Management, Marketing or Commerce
  • At least 5 years of working experience as Sales Lead in Automation industry
  • Capability to build strong partnerships in South East Asia (SEA) market
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Highly self-motivated, results driven, analytical mind, good process mapping skills
