Our client is seeking a dedicated and strategic Key Account Manager to join their team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead sales, business development, and distribution activities for the foodservice channel. The successful candidate will be the primary contact for all account-related matters, building strong relationships with distributors and key customers.

What you'll do:

As a Key Account Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving our client's success in the foodservice channel. You will be responsible for organising and executing approved sales, business development, and distribution activities. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include operating as the lead point of contact for all matters specific to your accounts, building strong relationships with distributors and key customers, and overseeing customer distributor/key account management. You will also support the Business Manager in executing company strategies for sustainable growth. This role requires a strategic thinker who can forecast and track distributor/key account metrics effectively.

  • Operate as the lead point of contact for all matters specific to your accounts
  • Build and maintain strong, lasting distributor/key customer relationships
  • Oversee customer distributor/key account management, including negotiating contracts and agreements to maximise profit
  • Support and collaborate with the Business Manager to execute company strategy for sustainable growth
  • Forecast and track distributor/key account metrics (e.g., quarterly sales results and annual forecasts)
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment with key customer strategies

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for the Key Account Manager position brings a wealth of experience in sales operations within the FMCG packaged foods sector. You have proven expertise in solution selling, key account management, demand creation, and forecasting. Your excellent interpersonal skills enable you to build strong relationships with both internal teams and external partners. You are self-motivated, proactive, and creative, with a knack for networking. Your communication skills are top-notch, and you're comfortable using presentation and analysis tools such as Microsoft Office Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

  • Proven experience in sales operations; In-field sales execution, solution selling and Key Account management
  • Minimum four years sales experience with a FMCG packaged foods in MNC
  • Understanding of demand creation and forecasting
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, networking ability, self-motivation, pro-activity and creativity
  • Intermediate communication skills in English (oral and written)
  • Proficiency in presentation and analysis tools, including Microsoft Office Excel, Words and PowerPoint
