Our client in Penang is seeking a motivated and results-driven Regional Sales Manager (APAC) to lead their sales efforts in the APAC region.

This role offers an exciting opportunity to develop and execute sales strategies, manage channel partners, and achieve revenue targets within a dynamic and innovative company specialising in Personal Identification products. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of the China and Southeast Asia markets, strong channel management skills, and a commitment to excellence.

What you'll do:

As a Regional Sales Manager (APAC), you will be at the forefront of driving our client's sales efforts in the APAC region. You will be responsible for developing and executing innovative sales strategies that maximise market penetration. Your role will involve identifying untapped markets within APAC for potential growth, recruiting new channel partners, providing them with necessary support, training, resources to drive sales. You will also be expected to stay up-to-date with industry trends, share knowledge with your team, identify new business opportunities, deliver compelling product presentations to clients while ensuring their satisfaction post-sale. Your ability to provide accurate sales forecasts, manage budgets effectively while complying with local regulations will be key to your success in this role.

  • Drive the sales team to achieve revenue and growth targets in APAC
  • Conduct thorough market research to understand customer needs, industry trends, and competitive landscape across APAC
  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies for the region
  • Identify, recruit, and onboard channel partners such as distributors, resellers, and integrators to expand market reach
  • Provide training and support to channel partners to enhance their product knowledge and sales skills
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including partnerships, distributorships, and strategic alliances
  • Deliver compelling product presentations and demonstrations to clients
  • Provide exceptional post-sale support to clients
  • Provide accurate sales forecasts and regular reports to management
  • Manage the sales budget for the region

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for this Regional Sales Manager (APAC) position brings a wealth of experience in sales channel management within the China and SEA markets. You will have a strong understanding of the cultural and business dynamics in these regions. Your excellent leadership and team management skills will enable you to drive your team towards achieving revenue and growth targets. Your strong analytical abilities will be crucial in conducting market research, developing sales strategies, and identifying new business opportunities. Exceptional communication and negotiation skills are essential for building strong relationships with channel partners and clients. Proficiency in other SEA languages will be an advantage.

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Sales, Marketing or a related field. MBA is a plus
  • Proven experience in sales channel management in the China and SEA markets
  • Strong understanding of the cultural and business dynamics in China and South east Asia
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills
  • Proficiency in other SEA languages an advantage
