About the Business Development Manager (Food Processing) Role: This is an important role in the organisation’s business growth within the SEA region. You will be responsible for developing sales within the F&B space.
Develop sales in a specific territory by serving existing customers, promoting products and concluding orders
Map potential prospect customers in territory by listing customer needs and current suppliers
Meet portfolio revenue, volume and price targets
Develop client knowledge and understand client decision-making process and role of stakeholders (buyer, technical buyer, influencer, sponsor)
Gather information on client midterm marketing plan/strategy (new product launches) to anticipate clients' future needs/expectations
Propose internally, for validation, new products/services for customers
Work closely with customers and potential customers to understand their needs and marketplace direction
Prepare/present sales proposals and contracts reflecting pricing guidelines
Ensure contract execution and follow-up by monitoring the deliveries of the contracted volume
Monitor the quality of the customer relationship by assuring overall satisfaction
Identify client needs from the point of view of different stakeholders (purchasing, manufacturing, marketing, management, end users/consumers)
The successful Business Development Manager will need to be business development focused and eager to expand business within a growing market. You will need to have experience selling into the food and beverage market.
At least a bachelor’s degree in engineering or business or related field
Minimum of five years’ sales experience with strong networking and contacts with F&B manufacturing end users
Good commercial knowledge in statistics and market analysis for the local market with strong channel management experience
Strong command of the English and local languages in Malaysia
