An exciting Account Manager (Lab Instruments) job has become available at a global manufacturer of lab instruments. Reporting directly to the Area Manager, this is a role to lead the sales team and sell lab instruments to the clients in the domestic market.
About the Account Manager (Lab Instruments) Role: This is a role for aspiring leaders who is looking forward to building and developing the business to a different level. This role is responsible for leading the sales team to achieve annual sales targets and expanding market reach.
Key Responsibilities:
Grow target accounts and consistently build sales pipelines
Establish new accounts by identifying potential customers, planning and organising sales call schedules
Identify current and potential customer requirements by establishing personal rapport and understanding key requirements
Support Business Area Manager in execution of marketing campaigns, leads generation and pipeline management
Responsible for actively driving and growing sales pipelines
Provide technology evaluation stage of the sales process, working in conjunction with the technical support team
Represent the solution to customers and to engage customers in the field with customer events such as conferences, seminars, courses, etc.
Develop customer's staff by providing technical information and training
Conduct negotiations to secure a win-win agreement with customers
To succeed in this Account Manager (Lab Instruments) role, you must have experience in selling laboratory instruments or similar equipment.
Key Requirements:
Education in chemistry, physics or material, mechatronics, electronics/electrical Engineering is required (BSc or MSc degree)
At least five years of experience in technical sales of analytical laboratory instrumentation
Strong entrepreneurial mindset, self-motivated, enthusiastic, can-do attitude, able to work under own initiative and is not afraid to handle customer’s rejection
Willingness to travel within the region as well as overseas
Strong analytical problem-solving skills
