An exciting Business Development Manager (Logistics) job opportunity to be based in Penang has just been made available with a multinational logistic service provider.

About the Business Development Manager (Logistics) Role:
Reporting to the HOD, you will be expected to develop and secure new business opportunities, to expand the company’s businesses and to maintain a robust working relationship with external customers and internal with the employee.

Key Responsibilities:

• Developing strategy, tactics, sales plans and profit targets
• Identifying and reporting on business opportunities in target markets
• Taking responsibilities for profit and loss
• Increasing market share in existing markets and maximising new business development opportunities
• Achieving targets for revenue, profitability and sales growth
• Developing and maintaining strong existing customer relation and loyalty
• Responding to customer enquiries/complaints
• Leading in engagements and strategic customer interface with key corporate customers
• Providing marketing and sales advice/information to management team to facilitate business review and evaluation
• Support BD department to fine tune strategic directive

To succeed in the Business Development Manager (Logistics) job, you must be highly motivated with hunter instincts to develop each potential prospect into business opportunity.

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
• Experience in 3PL industry, or any part of the supply chain industry
• Knowledge and experience in managing a logistics operation
• Business development experience (proposal design, costing, commercial awareness)
• Implementation experience
• Strong skills in IT related expects of logistics
• Excellent presentation skills
• FMCG and retail industry experience is preferred
• At least five years' BD exposure in a similar 3PL role
• Experience in large scale business development/sales in logistics industry
• Proven BD/Sales record in 3PL industry
