As a result of ongoing and continued successes within the FMCG market, this market leader within food ingredient industry is recruiting for a National Sales Manager to join their organisation in Penang.
About the National Sales Manager Role:
The National Sales Manager will work closely with the General Manager to develop a Sales Roadmap for the company and to ensure strong execution of the company’s sales strategy. The overall goal for this role is to work closely with the sales team to achieve annual sales targets through effective planning, development and execution of the sales plan and optimisation of sales resources to positively impact team productivity, efficiency, effectiveness, and results.
Key Responsibilities:
- Expanding domestic customer base while strengthening relationship with existing customers
- Managing sales team to achieve the sales target and KPIs
- Formulating sales strategies and ensure the effectiveness of execution of strategies to achieve the set of goals
- Leading and motivating sales team to achieve the required results
- Gaining market feedback/intel and trends – providing timely updates to senior management on industry trends and competition
- Any other task that set by the management to support the growth of the company
To succeed in this National Sales Manager job, you must be able to understand and read the market/competition effectively, specifically the market for non-dairy creamers, high fat powders and other nutritional lipids/encapsulated fats.
Key Requirements:
- Food Science/Technologist background is an advantage
- Preferably with more than 10 years’ experience in food ingredients business (industrial sales)
- Able to travel extensively (domestic travel)
- Good communication and negotiation skills
- Good leadership skills, team work mentality
