A Consulting Sales Engineer (Penang) job has become available at a global market leader in manufacturing and production of factory automation equipment in Northern Malaysia.

About the Consulting Sales Engineer (Penang) Role:
Reporting to the Sales Manager, the Consulting Sales Engineer (Penang) has to manage certain product-line sales in the assigned territory. In addition, he/she has to review and analyse the sales performance, aiming to meet or exceed targets sustainably.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work in full sales cycle: discover, develop, propose, negotiate, and closing
• Attend team meeting and training session with colleagues to improve sales skills and technical knowledge on product applications
• Develop a thorough understanding of the company products and applications through classes, seminars, and on-the-job training
• Work with experienced salespeople to develop sales skills through real life examples and role plays
• Satisfactorily complete mentorship programme providing sales training and an overview of company’s culture of success
• Provide technical consultation and service to customers to help solve their applications using the company’s products
• Demonstrate a high degree of flexibility in adapting to company’s expectations and the challenges customers present
• Travel to customer locations three days a week and work successfully in a wide variety of manufacturing environments

To succeed in this Consulting Sales Engineer (Penang) role, you must be a self-starter with initiative, drive and strong desire to succeed.

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in any field, preferable with an engineering background
• Work experience of not more than two years
• Must have strong command of English, Chinese and B. Malay due to the nature of the role
• Willing to travel
• Valid driving license
