A National Sales Manager position has just become available at a top FMCG company. This position overlooks the sales for its top brands nationwide and requires you to manage a team of Regional Managers and Sales Executives and is based in Petaling Jaya.
About the National Sales Manager role:
This National Sales Manager position is a highly important position for the business as your role is to define the entire brand's business strategy and lead a team of regional sales managers and sales executives to achieve targets. You will also be the key point of contact to work cross-functionally with trade marketing as well as branding and take part in management level decision-making.
- manage and overlook sales strategies and growth for distributors, wholesalers and independent outlets
- be up to date with regards to trade movements, customer trends and set sales strategies accordingly
- manage budgeting, forecast and drive weekly and monthly business reviews
- provide leadership, inspiration and mentoring to sales team
- work alongside other functions such as marketing to support on product launches and on trade promotions
In order to be successful in this role, applicants must have prior experience in hunter sales, business development and distributor management as well as possess experience managing a large cluster of business owners.
- degree in Business, Marketing or Economics
- 12 years of experience in FMCG sales; added advantage if experienced in managing multiple channels before (B2B, distributor, wholesaler, general trade etc)
- strong command of languages and local dialects
- keen to mentor and guide people
- mature and able to adapt to changes
