Our client is a leading retail property consulting solution, specialising in retail property development, space planning, leasing management, and centre management. They are currently seeking a Leasing Manager to join their team in Kuala Lumpur. This full-time role involves tasks such as commercial leasing, lease negotiations, lease administration, conducting market research, and managing leases.
What you'll do:
As a Leasing Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the entire leasing process. Your responsibilities will include preparing detailed leasing reports, developing budget rental reports, identifying potential tenants that align with the property's tenant mix strategy, maintaining strong relationships with landlords and retail tenants, developing leasing documents under the guidance of the Head of Leasing, conducting market research on current shopping trends and competitive landscapes. You will also assist the Head of Leasing with additional tasks and projects as required.
- Oversee the entire leasing process, from initial contact to final agreement.
- Prepare comprehensive leasing reports, including occupancy rates, tenant mix, and rental income.
- Develop and manage budget rental reports, tracking financial performance and projections.
- Identify and approach potential tenants that align with the property's tenant mix strategy.
- Maintain strong relationships with landlords and retail tenants, ensuring open and effective communication.
- Work with the Head of Leasing to develop and execute leasing documents, including agreements and contracts.
- Conduct thorough market research to stay informed about current shopping trends and competitive landscapes.
- Assist the Head of Leasing with additional tasks and projects as required.
What you bring:
The ideal candidate for this Leasing Manager position will have a minimum Bachelor's Degree in any related field along with at least 5 years of experience in Property Leasing. You should be fluent in both written and spoken English and Malay. Proficiency in Microsoft Office is essential for this role. We are looking for someone who has a positive attitude, good work ethic, is well-organised, meticulous and able to work independently. The ability to multi-task and work within tight deadlines is also crucial for this role.
