Our client is a rapidly expanding luxury group. As the Department Manager, you will lead the team in providing a sincere client experience, ensuring maximum profitability. You will develop commercial awareness, connection to your local client base and partnership with the regional and corporate teams to ensure your department’s success.
What you'll do:
As a Department Manager, your role is pivotal in driving the success of our client's retail operations. You will be responsible for leading your team towards achieving operational excellence through efficient running of all areas of the department. Your role extends beyond managing day-to-day operations; it involves fostering strong relationships with clients, driving local network growth, increasing client loyalty, and ensuring qualitative monitoring of client information. You will also work closely with the merchandising team to maximise product performance through visual merchandising, client relationship training and team animation.
- Lead and coach the team, ensuring that they have exceptional brand and product awareness
- Identify individual and team training needs and communicate these to Training & Retail Manager
- Plan roster, staffing request, absences and time off in advance to provide appropriate store coverage
- Coordinate the scheduling of inventories and cycle counts with stores
- Support team in building and strengthening relationships with clients
- Analyse the business, identify anomalies and propose action plans to office management
- Work closely with the merchandising team to ensure that appropriate stock and assortment levels are met

Your proven ability to lead and motivate a team will be crucial in this role as you drive your team towards achieving operational excellence. Your familiarity with CRM tools will be beneficial in managing client information effectively.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience including people management
- Retail experience preferred
- Experience in luxury/fashion business a plus
- Empathy: attentiveness and powers of observation, pleasure in customer contact
- Exemplary advisory abilities and unconditional sense of customer service
- Energetic and unifying team spirit, motivating staff and creating an effective group dynamic
- Good knowledge of CRM (Customer Relationship Management) tools
