A Regional Sales Manager - Central position has become available at one of the top FMCG companies in Malaysia. This position reports to the Sales Director and is a role for seasoned Sales Managers who have handled both General and Modern trade functions.
About the Regional Sales Manager - Central Role:
This is a business critical role as you will be responsible for defining the lower trade business strategies and lead a team to execute plans. You will also take lead in partnering with modern trade team to carry out the trade operational matters in Central region.
- Responsible for all Sales Strategies both General & Modern Trade within assigned territories
- Deal with key distributors to set, monitor ensure performance meets with objectives
- Lead and coordinate negotiations including promotion planning with retailers to align on performance and strategies
- Engage customers regularly to build relationship and rapport with decision makers and sales force
- Monitor key market trends and competitive activities to anticipate opportunities & issues to facilitate next steps to tap or defend
To succeed in the Regional Sales Manager - Central role, you must have current working experience in the FMCG industry in Malaysia. You will also need to have exposure in both general and modern trade management in your working past.
- Hold a Bachelor's or Master's Degree in any discipline
- Minimum 10 years experiences in General Trade managing distributors & wholesalers in an FMCG company
- Strategic thinking, lead effectively, communicate regularly, problem Solving and decision making with good follow-up are key capabilities beside analytics
- Maintain and healthy balance between administrative & operational requirements including store & follow-up checks
- Strong Computer & Microsoft Office skills including analytics
