We're looking for a Sales Manager for one of a large global exhibitions company based here in Kuala Lumpur. Reporting to a Director, this is a role for B2B sales people who are able to travel.
About the Sales Manager Role:
In this key position for the KL market, you will be responsible for meeting sales target for the planned exhibitions within Malaysia. Your main role is to reach out and maintain relationships with current and potential clients. You will take lead in planning and executing the exhibitions under your portfolio.
- Ability to demonstrate the full sales cycle from pre-contact, to initial contact, to pitching, to closing of the deal with a contract signed
- Generate and develop new businesses that will correlate into profit for the company whether by cold-calling, using existing or new client database and actively managing thereafter
- Maintain and develop existing and new customers through appropriate propositions and ethical sales method to optimise quality of service, business growth and client satisfaction
- Gain a clear understanding of customer’s requirements, and presenting appropriately to make a sale
- Preparing sales proposals to clients based on their requirement
- Arranging meetings with potential customers to prospect for new business
To succeed in the Sales Manager position, you will need to have prior experience in B2B sales, work independently and show hunger for results.
- Candidates must possess at least a Degree in any discipline
- At least three years of working experience in sales/events environment
- Demonstrated sales track record
- Result-oriented, resourceful with good problem solving and follow-up skills
- With pleasant personality, self-motivated and able to work independently
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
