Our client is seeking a dynamic and experienced Regional Sales Manager to drive sustainable and profitable growth across their North and East Coast regions. This role offers an exciting opportunity to develop and implement strategic plans for their globally recognised brands. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering targeted sales and market shares and fostering professional relationships with customers to ensure quality distribution management and business expansion.

What you'll do:

As a Regional Sales Manager, you will play a pivotal role in strategically building sustainable and profitable growth for our client's leading brands. Your excellent problem-solving skills will be utilised as you analyse insights that build and sustain professional relationships with customers. You will be responsible for developing a strong General Trade channel strategy that delivers targeted sales and market shares. Your leadership skills will shine as you inspire your team towards achieving set KPIs. You will also work closely with cross-functional teams to achieve strong customer growth plans.

  • Deliver strong sell-in and sell-out performance vs target of total North and East Coast region
  • Develop GT region strategy plan, initiate stakeholder buy-in, ensure prompt execution excellence of plans
  • Inspire and motivate Direct and Indirect Teams to achieve Joint Business Planning (JBP) KPIs set for the year
  • Manage and coach distributor’s team on execution excellence in-store
  • Take initiative, accountability and follow-through on weekly estimates, monthly sales bottom-up forecast accuracy
  • Review and continuously negotiate for trading term improvements with Customers

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for the Regional Sales Manager position brings a wealth of experience in regional sales management and distributor management, preferably within the Fast-Moving Consumer Good (FMCG) Industry. Your fluency in Bahasa Melayu, Mandarin, and English coupled with your strategic thinking abilities will be key to your success in this role. Proficiency in MS Office (MS Excel & MS PowerPoint) is essential along with a valid driving license as this role requires travel.

  • At least 8-10 years working experience in Regional Sales Manager and distributor management
  • Knowledge in Distributor Management Systems (DMS) will be an added advantage
  • Fluent level in Bahasa Melayu, Mandarin and English
  • Strategic and Critical Thinking with strong analytical and negotiation skills
  • Proficient in MS Office (MS Excel & MS PowerPoint)
  • Must possess valid driving license, own transport and willing to travel
