An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic and strategic Sales Area Manager to join a leading team in Malaysia. This role is perfect for those with a passion for the automotive industry and a proven track record in sales and dealer management. The successful candidate will be instrumental in assisting and developing the distribution and dealer channel in the assigned region, making this an ideal role for individuals looking to make a significant impact within a growing corporation.

What you'll do:

As a Sales Area Manager, your primary responsibility will be to assist and develop the distribution and dealer channel in your assigned region. You will work closely with Dealers/ Branch Managers, providing assistance on daily operational issues, ensuring compliance with company standards, and helping to reduce ageing stocks. Your role will also involve developing and reviewing sales plans, as well as monitoring market trends and competitor activity. With your help, we aim to maintain our position as a leader in the automotive industry.

  • Develop and review sales plan and marketing activities to achieve monthly sales targets
  • Assist Dealers/ Branch Managers in daily operational issues
  • Compile and feedback on market and competitive information
  • Assist Dealer appointment and ensure setup of operation according to planned timing
  • Monitor and assist Dealers to reduce ageing stocks
  • Ensure no Dealer debt more than 90 days ageing
  • Assist in training of Sales Consultants together with Sales Training Department
  • Ensure Dealers/ Branch Managers comply in sales reporting

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for this Sales Area Manager role will bring a wealth of experience from the automotive industry, particularly within sales and dealer management. You should hold a Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field, along with at least 5 years of experience in sales. Your excellent communication skills will be key to your success, allowing you to effectively liaise with various stakeholders within the business. Your ability to present information clearly will also be crucial when it comes to training Sales Consultants.

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in sales
  • At least 3 years in a dealer management role
  • Fluency in written and spoken English and other local languages
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities
