About the Category Development Manager (FMCG) Role:

In this business critical role you will be responsible for defining the broad business development strategy, delivering the highest quality service alongside the marketing director. You will also take the lead providing direction to all marketing-related activities, including brand management, market research, events management and directory/league table submissions

Key Responsibilities:

• Be responsible for attaining brand’s activation, visibility, awareness target according to company business development strategy within assigned area/channel
• Ensure cost efficiency when dealing with suppliers and adhere to Finance’s guideline in sourcing for suppliers
• Value growth mindset. Ensure each activation detail evaluate on ROI and follow the guideline given Coordinate with Marketing Department to enhance brand’s visibility with the right assets and direction
• Coordinate with Marketing Department to enhance brand’s visibility with the right assets and direction
• Ability and responsibility to understand and cascade promotion strategy to support the team to achieve their vol objectives from sales management team to direct report
• Plan and implement sales activities monthly, quarterly, yearly to obtain the activation and visiblity target

To succeed in the Category Development Manager (FMCG) job, you will need to have the ability to work effectively and co-operatively with senior business development teams, across borders and internal matrix.

Key Requirements:

• Degree qualifications in Business or related field
• At least five years relevant experience in trading field and two years in a managerial role
• Relevant experience in FMCG is an advantage
• Good presentation and negotiation skills
• Leadership skills & problem-solving skills
• Work independently and under high pressure
• Good command of English
• Computer literate (good skill in Microsoft Office software, Excel, Words, PowerPoint Presentation).
• Excellent strategic planning and analytical skills
