An exciting Trade Marketing Manager (FMCG) job has just become available at one of the most respected global FMCG firms based in Malaysia. Reporting directly to the Head of Department, this is a role for a trade marketer who is a leader in their field.
About the Category Development Manager (FMCG)Role:
In this business critical role you will be responsible for defining the broad business development strategy, delivering the highest quality service alongside the marketing director. You will also take the lead providing direction to all marketing-related activities, including brand management, market research, events management and directory/league table submissions
KeyResponsibilities:
Be responsible for attaining brand’s activation, visibility, awareness target according to company business development strategy within assigned area/channel
Ensure cost efficiency when dealing with suppliers and adhere to finance’s guideline in sourcing for suppliers
Value growth mindset. Ensure each activation detail evaluate on ROI and follow the guidelines given
Coordinate with the marketing department to enhance brand’s visibility with the right assets and direction
Understand and cascade promotion strategy to support the team to achieve their volume objectives from sales management team to direct reports
Plan and implement sales activities monthly, quarterly, yearly to obtain the activation and visibility target
To succeed in the Category Development Manager (FMCG) job, you will need to have the ability to work effectively and co-operatively with senior business development teams, across borders and internal matrix.
KeyRequirements:
Degree qualifications in business or related field
At least five years of relevant experience in the trading field and two years in managerial role
Relevant experience in FMCG is an advantage
Good presentation and negotiation skills
Leadership skills and problem-solving skills
Able to work independently and under high pressure
Good command of English
Computer literate (good skills in Microsoft Office software, Excel, Words, PowerPoint presentations)
Excellent strategic planning and analytical skills
