An exciting Head of General Trade (FMCG) job has just become available at one of the most respected global FMCG firms based in Malaysia. Reporting directly to the Sales Director, this is a role for a manager who is a leader in their field.

About the Head of General Trade (FMCG) Role:
In this business critical role, you will be responsible for defining the broad business development strategy and delivering the highest quality service. You will also take the lead in providing direction to all sales-related activities, including distributor management, operations management and team management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and achieve sales growth through developing and implementing regional trade strategy and action plans to lead and manage a team of sales force and Preferred Distributors (PDs)
• Effectively manage the efficiency of trade spent and route to market
• Achieve sales target and profit objectives of the PDs and Local Key Accounts and Supermarkets
• Monitor sales achievements relative to objectives and initiate programmes/activities to ensure sales targets are achieved
• Ensure high accuracy of monthly sales forecast and ensure sufficient stocks in PD warehouse with healthy shelf life and days of inventory
• Manage and optimise trade fund and achieve planned trade spend KPIs – rebate management

To succeed in this Head of General Trade (FMCG) role, you will need to have the ability to work effectively and co-operatively with business development teams.

Key Requirements:

• Minimum of eight years in the fast-moving consumer goods industry
• Good understanding of business environment and its dynamics
• Strong leadership attributes
• Good understanding of company directions and its business essentials and capabilities
• Analytical
