What you'll do:
As Business Development and Enrichment Manager based in Kuala Lumpur, you will be instrumental in expanding the breadth and quality of enrichment activities offered by a network of prestigious international schools. Your day-to-day responsibilities will see you identifying fresh commercial opportunities within a wide array of student-focused programmes such as ECAs (extracurricular activities), international exchanges, summer camps, extended day services like after-school care or Saturday classes as well as managing facility rentals. You will collaborate closely with internal teams including finance directors, principals, operations managers and marketing specialists—alongside external partners—to ensure every initiative is implemented smoothly from concept through execution. - Identify and evaluate new business opportunities within enrichment categories such as extracurricular activities, school trips, international programmes, summer schools, after-school care, Saturday school sessions, STEM initiatives, and facility hire.
- Source potential partners and vendors; assess their suitability for adoption at both regional and individual school levels while building positive relationships through early engagement and due diligence.
- Develop clear proposals and recommendations for new initiatives based on market trends, demand analysis, and specific school needs to ensure alignment with organisational goals.
- Support the rollout of the enrichment brand across Asia by collaborating with stakeholders to embed new programmes consistently across all schools.
- Review existing ancillary activity levels, vendor contracts, and commercial arrangements to identify areas for improvement in programme quality, participation rates, pricing strategies, and financial performance.
- Work closely with providers and school stakeholders to optimise current agreements; establish consistent processes, templates, and standards that professionalise enrichment operations region-wide.
- Share insights and best practices across schools to capture known opportunities for improvement in programme delivery, vendor management, pricing models, and operational efficiency.
- Create comprehensive roll-out plans, guides, and toolkits that enable smooth implementation of new initiatives at the school level while providing practical support on scheduling, pricing structures, programme design, and parent communications.
- Coordinate marketing efforts to promote enrichment activities effectively; facilitate cross-school sharing of successful approaches to foster a culture of collaboration.
- Engage regularly with principals, operations teams, finance departments, marketing professionals, external vendors, suppliers, parents (as customers), ensuring seamless communication throughout project lifecycles.
