What you'll do:
- Conduct comprehensive analysis of APAC markets to identify immediate and long-term business opportunities that align with organisational goals.
- Provide valuable market intelligence to inform and refine regional commercial strategies for airport systems and solutions.
- Identify, evaluate, and recommend potential agents or distributors to strengthen local presence and enhance market penetration.
- Develop and nurture enduring relationships with airport authorities, aviation consultants, contractors, government agencies, and other key decision-makers throughout the region.
- Undertake regular commercial visits across APAC to maintain close proximity to clients and ensure ongoing engagement with emerging opportunities.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients during all stages of the commercial cycle, ensuring clear communication and responsive support.
- Gather timely market updates, monitor tender announcements, and communicate essential client information to internal teams for effective action.
- Review tender specifications meticulously to identify risks, technical requirements, compliance needs, and strategic considerations relevant to each opportunity.
- Collaborate extensively with internal technical, engineering, finance, and documentation teams to prepare compliant proposals that meet client expectations.
- Lead negotiations during tender processes and contract awards, ensuring mutually beneficial outcomes while upholding company standards.
What you bring:
- Demonstrated technical understanding of airport systems, aviation infrastructure projects, industrial engineering solutions or electromechanical products relevant to complex environments.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, tender documents, and compliance requirements with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Experience in B2B sales or technical sales within aviation, airports infrastructure, industrial equipment sectors or similar solution-based industries.
- Proven track record managing business development initiatives or tender processes involving airports, EPCs (Engineering Procurement Construction), contractors or government agencies.
- Familiarity with APAC markets—especially Southeast Asia, Australia/New Zealand or South Asia—and an understanding of local business practices.
- Excellent negotiation skills enabling you to navigate complex sales cycles while maintaining positive client relationships.
- Outstanding communication abilities including presentation skills tailored for diverse audiences across cultures.
- Self-motivated approach suited for remote work without direct local office support; able to operate independently yet collaboratively within global teams.
- Willingness to travel extensively across APAC as required by project demands or client engagements.
