What you'll do:

As a Business Development Manager (Japanese Speaker), you will play a pivotal role in driving the growth of our client's business within Japan, Malaysia, and AP territories. Your primary focus will be on sales and new business development activities. You will develop strategic sales and marketing plans aimed at expanding the customer base in your assigned territory. Working closely with both inside and outside sales teams, you will strive towards achieving customer satisfaction, revenue generation, profitability, and long-term account goals. Your ability to maximise opportunities during the sales process will be crucial in gaining market share from competitors. You will also be responsible for creating compelling proposal presentations and RFQ responses that effectively communicate our client's solutions to prospect's business problems.

  • Responsible for all sales and new business development activities in the assigned territory
  • Develop and implement a sales and marketing plan which will meet both personal and business goals of expanding customer base
  • Work with inside and outside sales organisations for the achievement of customer satisfaction, revenue generation, profitability, and long-term account goals
  • Maximise all opportunities in the process of closing a sale, resulting in taking market share from other competitors
  • Sell consultatively and make recommendations to prospects and clients of the various solutions that our client offers from their global facilities
  • Create and conduct effective proposal presentations and RFQ responses that identify prospects business problems and our client's solutions to these problems


What you bring:

The ideal candidate for this Business Development Manager (Japanese Speaker) role brings a wealth of experience from the medical device industry within the Japan market. With an undergraduate degree in Business or Engineering or equivalent experience, you have a proven track record of successful sales experience spanning at least 5 years. Your proficiency with CRM software and Salesforce.com (SFDC) will be crucial in managing customer relationships and driving sales. Your strong English and Japanese verbal and written skills will enable effective communication with clients and team members alike. Your problem-solving skills will be key in offering win-win solutions for both the customer and the company. Lastly, your proven ability to achieve sales quotas and grow territory will be instrumental in driving the success of our client's business.

  • Undergraduate degree preferably in Business or Engineering or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of proven successful sales experience in the medical device industry in Japan market
  • Proficiency with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software and Salesforce.com (SFDC)
  • Experience in orthopedic contract manufacturing – Medical Instrument & Implant
  • Strong English and Japanese verbal and written skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills geared towards offering win-win solutions for both customer and company
  • Proven ability to achieve sales quotas and grow territory
