Our client is seeking a dynamic and experienced Manager for Leasing & Business Development to join their team in Kuala Lumpur. The successful candidate will also be responsible for executing business development and leasing activities that align with the company's core values and brand standards.
What you'll do:
As a Manager for Leasing & Business Development, your primary focus will be on strategically managing and promoting a sales culture within partner stores. You will ensure that sales targets are met and exceeded while maintaining the highest level of operational efficiency. Your role will also involve significant business development activities, including site evaluations for new store openings and building strong relationships with retail property landlords. Your ability to balance these responsibilities while upholding the company's core values and brand standards will be key to your success.
- Ensure year-to-year sales targets across partner stores are achieved
- Manage retail partners in terms of store operations and financial account management
- Maintain store KPIs
- Uphold store standards as per company guidelines
- Track progress through in-store checklists
- Ensure partner store teams align with company SOPs
- Maximise business & sales through partner stores
- Evaluate sites for opening new stores for business development purposes
- Build strong relationships with retail property landlords or management for maximum commercial returns
What you bring:
The ideal candidate for this Manager, Leasing & Business Development role brings a wealth of experience in retail operations and business development. With at least 5 years' experience in retail operations or a similar role with a global brand, you have proven your ability to drive sales growth while maintaining operational excellence. Your advanced proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint supports your strong numerical skills, enabling you to effectively analyse P&L statements. Your excellent organisational skills allow you to manage multiple tasks efficiently, while your interpersonal skills make you an effective coach for your team.
- University degree in Business Studies/Marketing or equivalent
- Minimum 5 years retail operations/Partner Store experience and 2-3 years from a similar position with a Global Brand
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint
- Strong numerical skills and ability to understand/analyze P&L
- Ability to define and write policies and procedures
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Interpersonal and coaching skills
