Our client is seeking a dynamic and experienced Innovation Sales Manager in the field of Construction Chemicals. This role is based in the vibrant city of Kuala Lumpur. The successful candidate will lead business development activities, introduce innovative products, and drive their commercialisation. Your expertise will be crucial in identifying target customers and developing winning strategies. You'll also provide sales training for innovation products and offer technical guidance to maximise commercial success.

What you'll do:

As an Innovation Sales Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our client's business. You will be responsible for managing the opportunity pipeline for innovative products at an account level, driving the execution of customer projects to ensure swift commercialisation. Your role will involve influencing key decision makers, providing effective training, and offering technical support to both sales teams and customers. You will also collaborate closely with sales teams to update forecasts as required.

  • Develop and manage opportunity pipeline for innovation products at account level.
  • Drive execution of customer projects to achieve fast commercialisation.
  • Assume end-to-end responsibility for innovation sales in the region.
  • Focus on influencing key decision makers.
  • Provide effective training and technical support to sales and customers.
  • Be an active partner for sales team during customer visits.
  • Provide recommendations on improving value proposition, promotional materials and training packages.
  • Collaborate with sales to update sales forecast at required frequency.

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for this Innovation Sales Manager position brings a wealth of industry experience along with a strong educational background in a related technical field or business administration. You have a good technical understanding of the field, coupled with the ability to communicate and sell complex ideas effectively. Your entrepreneurial spirit has been demonstrated through your success in implementing new products to existing or new customers. Your focus on consultative selling processes, combined with your project management skills, sets you apart from others.

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related technical field or business administration.
  • Seven or more years of experience in relevant industry.
  • Good technical background and expertise in relevant field.
  • Ability to communicate and sell complex ideas and concepts.
  • Strong entrepreneurial spirit with demonstrated success in implementing new products.
  • Focus on consultative selling process.
  • Project Management skills with proven track record of successful execution of complex projects.
  • Proficiency in English, additional languages are a plus.
