What you'll do:

As a Business Development Executive, you will play a pivotal role in driving our client's growth strategy. Your primary responsibility will be ensuring smooth transitions into new markets, laying the groundwork for long-term success. You will conduct thorough market research and analysis, taking into account various factors such as demographics, market trends, and the competitive landscape. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will ensure seamless integration of goals for successful market entry and sustained growth. Your role also involves working hand-in-hand with third-party service providers or business partners. A significant part of your role will be identifying potential risks and challenges associated with expansion projects, developing contingency plans, and proactively addressing any issues that may arise.

  • Ensure smooth transition into new markets, setting the stage for long-term success and profitability
  • Conduct comprehensive market research and analysis considering factors such as demographics, market trends, and competitive landscape
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and alignment of goals for successful market entry and sustained growth
  • Work hand in hand with third-party service providers or business partners
  • Identify potential risks and challenges associated with expansion projects, develop contingency plans, and proactively address any issues that may arise
  • Generate regular progress reports, providing updates and any deviations to senior management on progress
  • Provide ad-hoc assistance as and when required

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for the Business Development Executive role brings a wealth of relevant experience, preferably in the retail industry. You hold at least a Bachelor’s Degree / Professional Degree in Business / Law or equivalent. Your excellent organisational skills, coupled with strong oral and written communication abilities, will be key to your success in this role. Proficiency in MS Office, particularly MS Excel, is essential. A can-do attitude, resourcefulness, and tenacity are crucial attributes you possess. You are flexible and able to multitask, demonstrating good project management skills and the ability to thrive within an ambiguous, fast-moving environment. Willingness to travel abroad is a must.

  • Possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree / Professional Degree in Business / Law or equivalent
  • Minimum of 2-5 years of relevant working experience, preferably in the retail industry
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office (MS Excel specifically)
  • A can-do attitude is imperative to the success of this position
  • Must be a strong team contributor as job involves internal and external parties both domestically and in various other geographies
  • Resourcefulness and tenacity in approaching work-related issues
  • Flexibility and ability to multitask, with good project management skills and the ability to work within an ambiguous, fast-moving environment
