Our client, a market leader in the FMCG industry with a global presence, is seeking an experienced Export Manager to help take their rapidly expanding international business to its full potential. This high-profile role reports directly to the Export Head and offers upward mobility within the management team.

What you'll do:

As an Export Manager in the FMCG industry, you will play a pivotal role in transitioning our client's traditional FOB export business into world-class brand management. You will be responsible for maintaining and growing existing customer relationships, as well as forging new ones based on future models. Your role will involve implementing annual and longer-term international market strategies, managing customer negotiations, documentation, trade investments, and handling day-to-day trading issues. You will also be tasked with developing customer account plans that include revenue, profitability, and promotional activity. Staying up-to-date with market dynamics is crucial in this role as you will need to exploit opportunities on a timely basis.

  • Transition a traditional FOB export business in step-change stages to world-class brand management in export markets working through the right partnerships
  • Maintain and grow existing customer relationships while complementing them with new relationships based on a future model to fill the gaps
  • Implement and agree annual and longer-term international market strategy with key stakeholders
  • Manage customers’ terms negotiations, documentation and trade investments with a win-win long term profitability focus
  • Day-to-day management of all trading issues with foresight to pre-empt issues
  • Develop and implement customer account plans including revenue, profitability and promotional activity
  • Stay continually up-to-date with a detailed understanding of the market dynamics and stay ahead by exploiting opportunities on a timely basis and managing issues
