A leading property developer is seeking an experienced and visionary General Manager (Industrial Property). In this job, you will spearhead the establishment and growth of their industrial property development arm.

About the General Manager (Industrial Property) Role:
This challenging and dynamic role will involve strategic planning, market analysis, and the development of industrial properties that align with the company's long-term objectives with the aim of growth and expansion of both the team and the business.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement a comprehensive strategic plan for the industrial property development department, aligned with the overall goals of the group
• Identify potential opportunities and risks in the industrial property market, providing actionable insights to the senior management
• Lead the identification and acquisition of suitable land for industrial property development
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to oversee the design, planning, and execution of industrial property projects
• Conduct market research to stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging opportunities in the industrial property sector
• Analyse market data to make informed decisions on project feasibility and viability
• Develop and manage budgets for industrial property development projects
• Ensure cost-effective and efficient project delivery, maximising return on investment
• Build and lead a high-performing team of professionals within the industrial property development department
• Provide mentorship, guidance, and support to team members, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment
• Cultivate and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, contractors, consultants, and investors
• Represent the company in negotiations and collaborations related to industrial property development projects

The successful General Manager (Industrial Property) must have prior experience in the industrial property development sector preferably with experience in strategic planning and strong market insights. This role will decide on what developments to construct on the land that is owned to generate ROI.

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in real estate, business, or a related field (master's degree is preferred)
• At least 15 years or more experience in the real estate/property development industry with solid experience in developing industrial properties
• Strong experience in strategic planning, market intelligence, business development, etc.
• Proven experience in a leadership role
• Strong strategic planning and analytical skills
• In-depth knowledge of the real estate and industrial property market
• Excellent financial management and budgeting skills
• Effective communication and negotiation abilities
