A HOD, Business Development (Solar) job has become available at a leading solar systems provider for the Commercial and Industrial (C&I) business segment.
About the HOD, Business Development (Solar) Role: Reporting to the CEO, you will be responsible for driving business growth and strategies for the Commercial and Industrial (C&I) business segment of the group. You will lead a team of business development professionals to ensure achievement of sales revenues and business goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and strategise sales and marketing plans as well as lead generation across Malaysia
Enhance and streamline the efficiency of sales processes and systems with continuous improvement
Oversee and lead sales revenue to achieve targets set by the management across Malaysia
Perform system solutions demonstrations to generate system solution awareness and potential sales
Act as primary point of contact for and provide technical support to potential customers
Keep clients updated on launch announcements and release of new products and software solutions
Cultivate strong relationships with existing customers across different regions and build new clientele
Identify and report on potential opportunities to promote sales growth
Drive performance and retain key talents through constant engagement with team members
The successful HOD, Business Development (Solar) must have prior experience in leading a sales team within the B2B industrial sales space. Experience with electrical or electronics systems is a strong advantage.
Key Requirements:
At least a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering Degree/Business Management or equivalent
Minimum of eight years of sales experience is required for this position with people management experience
System integration sales experience in construction or engineering line will be given priority
Preferably managers specialising in business development or equivalent
Experience or knowledge of energy or solar power is an added advantage
Strong communicator – proficient in English and other local languages
Strong sales and negotiation skills
Effective team building and leadership capabilities
