Business Development Manager

An exciting Business Development Manager job has become available in a leading company in water, hygiene solutions and services for the healthcare industry.

About the Business Development Manager Role:
In this business critical role, you will be responsible for the continued growth of sales and account operating profitability within the assigned territory. You will also take the lead providing direction to all sales and marketing-related activities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Be the designated point person with key dealers and customers
• Manage annual sales goals and projections for the designated geography
• Understand and support the company's sales policies and procedures to ensure the proper and effective treatment of the customers
• Produce market surveys
• Identify and manage KOL
• Direct and administer dealer promotions to promote sales and maintain favourable relations
• Visit assigned dealers/customers on a regular basis to promote products, relate new product information, solicit feedback on the company's products and services
• Meet monthly, quarterly, and annual sales quotas
• Visit potential dealers to qualify them as sales prospects for the corporation
• Relate new product ideas, promotional ideas and product extensions to marketing management for evaluation

To succeed in this Business Development Manager role, you must be a strong communicator and possess great interpersonal skills with high sales drive.

Key Requirements:

• Degree in a business, science, or technical related discipline
• Must have at least five years of lead/sales generation experience in the Asia Pacific region
• Expected to travel about 50% of the time with occasional international travel
• Strong interpersonal, intercultural and relationship skills
• Analytical skills combined with an inquisitive nature, strong learning agility and a proactive hands-on approach
• Strong record in delivering substantial growth experience
• Good project management, organisational and planning skills
• Experience in healthcare industry (medical devices), infection prevention related field is preferred
