Business Development Manager (Construction)

An exciting Business Development Manager (Construction) job opportunity based in Penang has just been made available with a market leader in the construction business.

About the Business Development Manager (Construction) Role:
Reporting to the General Manager, you will be responsible for the business development activities to increase the company’s revenue stream.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage business development operations and activities
• Enhance market shares by developing new business opportunities
• Conduct survey, gather market insights, analyse and report/present to the management on potential business/ project/ clients and viable revenue streams
• Identify key success factors and recommend areas of improvement
• Develop business strategies, long and short-term plans to promote sales growth
• Collaborate with sales and project team to create contract-winning proposals for prospective clients
• Develop and nurture relationships with prospective clients while maintaining strong relationship with existing clients
• Propose and drive programs for clients’ satisfaction and retention
• Respond to client issues/ feedback in a professional manner to ensure client satisfaction

The successful Business Development Manager (Construction) must have prior sales experience preferably within the construction segment.

Key Requirements:

• At least eight years’ experience in Business Development in Construction/Engineering related field
• Diploma/degree in Business or equivalent
• Good negotiation, presentation and communication skills, positive attitude, team player and self-motivated
• Readiness to travel and able to work outstation as and when required
