A well-known hypermarket/supermarket chain is seeking a Business Planning & Strategy Manager (Fresh Category) to join its team in Malaysia. In this Business Planning & Strategy job, you will be working with multiple stakeholders on projects to achieve business goals.

About the Business Planning & Strategy Manager (Fresh Category) Role:
In this business critical role, you will work with internal teams by formulating strategies through data to achieve the ultimate objective of growth for the fresh produce category.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver a wide range of projects in order to simplify range, lower prices, or reduce complexity/cost for customers and supplier partners
• Play a key role in strategy formulation, lead multiple change projects, ensure that each project has the right strategy, scope, skills, resources, systems and structures to get the job done
• Collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders, lead and manage a large natural work team in the development of business-wide operational strategies and deliver change end to end
• Review key strategy priorities, and translate them into actionable and quantitative plans
• Strong communicator with excellent written and verbal skills, great with people, able to engage/influence at all level

To succeed in the Business Planning & Strategy Manager (Fresh Category) role, you will need to have the ability to work effectively as a team in building up and managing the fresh category, and cooperate well with internal and external stakeholders in ensuring growth for the company.

Key Requirements:

• Minimum of a degree in relevant field
• Minimum of two years' work experience in category management, project management or research function in the retail industry. Candidates from research agency are welcome to apply
• Good communication and presentation skills
• Good analytical, organisational and project management skills, and a positive work attitude
