What you'll do:

As a Merchandiser, you will play an integral role in ensuring that every store is equipped with the right products at the right time. Your day-to-day activities will involve close collaboration with various departments to plan, execute, and adjust merchandising strategies that drive both sales performance and customer satisfaction. You will analyse sales data, forecast demand for individual SKUs, monitor inventory levels, and respond swiftly to changing market conditions. By leveraging your keen understanding of consumer trends and your ability to work effectively within a team-oriented environment, you will help deliver outstanding results for the business while supporting your colleagues’ development. Your proactive approach will ensure that challenges are addressed efficiently, making you an essential contributor to the company’s ongoing success.

  • Ensure that stores consistently maintain the ideal merchandise mix from product launch through to sell-out, focusing on achieving sales targets and delivering excellent customer satisfaction.
  • Develop and implement effective merchandising, sales, and production strategies while proactively revising plans based on actual sales data and market trends.
  • Collaborate closely with Store Operations, Marketing, IMD, and Corporate Planning teams to align merchandising initiatives with overall business objectives.
  • Monitor inventory levels meticulously to minimise out-of-stock situations by forecasting demand for each SKU and adjusting production accordingly.
  • Work as part of a dedicated team to maximise sales and profit while minimising year-end inventory and eliminating stock shortages across all categories.
  • Conduct thorough analysis of sales figures and consumer behaviour to inform decision-making processes and optimise product assortment.
  • Support cross-departmental projects by providing valuable insights into merchandising trends and contributing to strategic planning sessions.
  • Respond promptly to ad-hoc tasks by proactively seeking information and taking appropriate actions when changes arise in the business environment.
  • Contribute towards building a positive team culture by sharing knowledge, supporting colleagues, and participating in regular training sessions.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Studies, Mass Communication or any related field is required for this position.
  • Strong proficiency in both Bahasa Melayu and English (written & verbal) enables you to communicate effectively across diverse teams.
  • Excellent numerical aptitude combined with robust analytical skills allows you to interpret complex data sets accurately.
  • Previous experience—ideally 4-5 years—in merchandising or a related field is preferred; however, enthusiastic fresh graduates are also encouraged to apply.
