  • Collaborate closely with finance, supply chain, and operations teams to guarantee operational alignment and responsiveness to evolving customer needs.
  • Build and maintain senior-level strategic relationships with top customers, regulatory bodies, and industry influencers to enhance brand reputation and secure long-term partnerships.
  • Partner with global and regional headquarters on commercial policy development, pricing strategies, innovation rollouts, and broader business initiatives.
  • Lead a multi-functional commercial organisation encompassing Key Accounts, Trade & Shopper Marketing, Retail Excellence, Field Operations, and Commercial Analytics to drive team success.

What you bring:

To excel as Sales Director you will bring extensive experience from leadership roles within consumer-focused industries such as FMCG or personal care. Your background should include proven success managing large-scale sales organisations across multiple countries—particularly within Southeast Asia—and navigating complex cross-cultural environments. You will have demonstrated your ability to lead transformative change by developing innovative go-to-market models while maintaining strong financial discipline. Your interpersonal skills will be critical as you build trust-based relationships with senior stakeholders both internally and externally. A commitment to nurturing talent through collaborative workforce planning sets you apart as someone who values team achievement just as much as individual results.   • Minimum 8-10 years’ experience in sales leadership roles within FMCG, Consumer Health or Beauty/Personal Care industries; at least 5 years in Modern Trade environments is essential for understanding retail dynamics.
  • Proven track record managing full responsibility for multi-country sales growth across Southeast Asian markets including Malaysia and Singapore; deep familiarity with cross-cultural business practices is highly valued.
  • Demonstrated success leading complex cross-functional teams at scale while driving commercial transformations that result in measurable business impact.
  • Strong analytical skills combined with financial acumen enable you to establish rigorous governance frameworks for forecasting accuracy and resource optimisation.
  • Experience working with major pharmacy customers such as Watsons & Guardian is preferred; ability to engage strategically with key accounts is crucial for partnership success.
  • Skillful in Joint Business Planning (JBP) processes as well as Strategic Customer Engagement techniques that foster long-term loyalty among clients.
  • Excellent stakeholder management abilities including executive-level negotiation skills; adept at aligning global policies with local execution requirements.
  • Ability to balance priorities between business tasks and people matters so as to cultivate an environment characterised by teamwork alongside results orientation.
  • Proficient in written and verbal Mandarin Chinese; this language skill is vital for effective communication within diverse teams and external partners throughout the region.
  • Analytical thinker who favours execution; comfortable operating in demanding environments where timelines are tight yet collaboration remains central.
