What you'll do:
As an Account Manager, your primary role will be managing key client relationships within the food ingredient sector. You will be responsible for developing strategies to expand existing accounts and identifying new business opportunities. Your excellent interpersonal skills will enable you to work closely with cross-functional teams, ensuring the timely delivery of solutions based on customer needs. Your negotiation skills will be crucial in securing contracts that maximise profitability while maintaining customer satisfaction. Monitoring sales performance and key account metrics will be part of your daily tasks, along with providing top-notch after-sales support. Staying abreast of industry trends and competitor activities will also be essential in this role.
- Serve as the main point of contact for assigned accounts, building and maintaining strong client relationships.
- Develop and implement strategies to expand existing accounts and identify new business opportunities.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the timely and successful delivery of solutions based on customer needs.
- Negotiate contracts and agreements to maximise profitability while ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Monitor sales performance and key account metrics, preparing reports for management.
- Provide excellent after-sales support, addressing any issues or concerns promptly.
- Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and market demands to provide valuable insights.
What you bring:
The ideal candidate for this Account Manager position brings a wealth of experience from previous roles in account management or related fields. With at least five years under your belt, you are adept at managing key client relationships and driving business growth. Your strong communication skills complement your negotiation abilities, enabling you to secure profitable contracts while ensuring customer satisfaction. You are comfortable managing multiple accounts simultaneously without compromising on the level of customer service provided. Your proficiency in CRM software and MS Office applications will be crucial in this role. - Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in account management, preferably in the B2B food ingredient.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple accounts while maintaining a high level of customer service.
- Experience using CRM software and proficiency in MS Office applications.
- Goal-oriented with a track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
