What you'll do:

As a Distributor Development Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving the company's growth by ensuring effective distributor management and development. You will be responsible for driving the overall sales approach based on agreed channel strategies. Your participation in monthly demand planning processes and risk management initiatives will be crucial. You will also handle general sales administration, credit control, manage distributors' accounts, debt recovery, and collateral. Your ability to coordinate and implement marketing, trade marketing, and sales policies will be essential in achieving common objectives. You will strive to develop maximum sales potential from all markets for the company's products. A key part of your role will be establishing good relationships and cooperation with other departments within the company, working as a team towards achieving set goals and objectives.

  • Ensure effective Distributor Management & Development
  • Drive overall sales approach based on agreed Channel strategies
  • Participate actively in monthly Demand planning process
  • Engage in Company’s Risk Management initiatives
  • Handle general sales administration and credit control
  • Manage Distributors’ accounts, debt recovery and collateral
  • Coordinate and implement marketing, trade marketing and sales policies to achieve common objectives
  • Develop maximum sales potential from all markets for the Company products
  • Establish good relationship / cooperation with other departments in the company and work as a team towards achieving Company set goals and objectives
  • Control budget and ensure effective/efficient deployment of resources

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for this Distributor Development Manager position should possess a recognised degree or equivalent preferably in Marketing, Business Administration or Nutrition. You should be computer literate and able to use general Microsoft Office applications. Your sales and marketing experience in a fast-moving consumer goods environment will be crucial, as well as your experience in managing multi-national business. You should have at least 3 to 6 years of Sales experience with 3 years management experience in managing distributors, lower trade and general trade business. Experience in manufacturing and marketing of Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) environment preferably in a Nutrition business or medical detailed products business is an added advantage. You should also have strong distributor management skill & knowledge plus well-versed in collateral and debt recovery matters.
