Our client is seeking a dedicated and experienced Regional Account Manager to join their team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to expand the footprint of a premium food brand across Asia. Based in Kuala Lumpur, you will be responsible for supporting current retailers, enhancing customer relationships, and driving new business opportunities across the region. Your primary goal will be to increase market share and brand visibility.

What you'll do:

As a Regional Account Manager, SEA (FMCG), your role will be pivotal in expanding our client's footprint across Asia. You will be entrusted with supporting current retailers while also identifying new business opportunities. Your expertise in developing tailored sales strategies will be crucial in driving growth and meeting sales targets. As the face of the brand in the region, your interpersonal skills will shine through as you build relationships at industry events and trade shows. Your keen understanding of consumer trends and competitor activities will guide your market research efforts. Regular travel within the region will keep you connected with retailers and potential partners.

  • Work closely with existing retailers across Asia to ensure they have the resources, training, and support needed to effectively market and sell products.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the region, including potential retail partnerships, food service channels, and distribution networks.
  • Develop and implement sales strategies tailored to the unique needs of each market within Asia.
  • Serve as the face of the brand in the region, attending industry events, trade shows, and meetings to promote the brand.
  • Conduct market research to understand consumer trends, competitor activities, and potential areas for growth.
  • Regularly travel within the region to visit retailers, meet with potential partners, and attend industry events.

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for this Regional Account Manager, SEA (FMCG) position brings a wealth of experience in business development, sales or account management. Your strong understanding of the Asian retail market coupled with your excellent communication and negotiation skills make you an asset. Your ability to work both independently and as part of a global team demonstrates your adaptability. Fluency in English is essential for this role. A willingness to travel extensively within the region is required.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in business development, sales, or account management.
  • Strong understanding of the Asian retail market.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

  • Willingness to travel extensively within the region.
