Our client is seeking a highly skilled Key Account Manager to join their dynamic team in Kuala Lumpur. This role offers an exciting opportunity to implement and manage key account strategies, nurture customer relationships, and drive long-term sales planning. The successful candidate will have the chance to work with a diverse range of customers, contribute to operational planning, and lead contract negotiations.

What you'll do:

As a Key Account Manager, your primary responsibility will be managing key accounts for our client. You will be implementing a standardized account management model to achieve commercial results. Your role will involve initiating and maintaining effective relationships with potential customers, nurturing these relationships, and identifying new business opportunities. You will also monitor the execution of agreed account plans and promotional activities, ensuring they are carried out as planned. Additionally, you will take ownership of customer demand forecasts, ensuring they are reflected in the S&OP and that stocks are available. Your role will also involve defining an account plan in line with other relevant commercial plans, contributing to the development of operational plans based on your expertise and experience. Lastly, you will prepare proposals for contracts, lead or participate in negotiations, including defining negotiation strategies.

  • Implement the standardized Key account management model to achieve desired commercial results

The ideal candidate for this Key Account Manager position brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to the table. With a Bachelor's degree and 8-10 years of relevant work experience under your belt, you have proven your ability to manage key accounts effectively. Your knowledge of the HoReCa & Bakery market in Malaysia sets you apart from others, and your curiosity for customer insights and outside-in thinking enables you to create innovative strategies. Your ability to make compelling presentations and data-driven decisions is crucial in this role. Additionally, your knowledge of Financial Management, including business case & P&L, will be invaluable. Lastly, your willingness to travel within Malaysia demonstrates your commitment to the role.

  • Bachelor Degree with 8-10 years of relevant working experience
  • Good knowledge of the HoReCa & Bakery market in Malaysia
  • Proven experience in Key Account Management
  • Great curiosity for customer insights and thinking outside in
  • Ability to make compelling presentations (PowerPoint etc) and data driven decision making
  • Knowledge of Financial Management (business case & P&L)
  • Willingness to travel within Malaysia
