Our client is seeking a knowledgeable Merchandiser to join their team in Kuala Lumpur. This role is crucial to achieve business plans through the planning of an ideal merchandising mix. The successful candidate is responsible for ensuring the right amount of merchandise mix, developing and executing merchandising strategies, and minimizing out-of-stock SKUs. What you'll do:
As a Merchandiser, your role will be pivotal in supporting our client's business plans and sales targets. You will be responsible for planning the ideal merchandising mix and collaborating with various departments including Store Operations, Marketing, IMD, and Corporate Planning. Your ability to ensure the right amount of merchandise mix in stores at all times will directly impact customer satisfaction and sales targets. You will also develop and execute merchandising/sales/production strategies, adjusting production by SKU as necessary. Your keen eye for detail will aid in minimizing Out of Stock SKU through thorough review and forecasting. Working as part of a dynamic team, you will strive to maximize sales and profit while minimizing year-end inventory.
- Ensure the right amount of merchandise mix in stores at all times
- Develop and execute merchandising/sales/production strategies
- Adjust production by SKU as necessary
- Minimize Out of Stock SKU by percentage through thorough review and forecasting each item and its SKU’s sales
- Work as a team to maximize sales and profit, minimize year-end inventory, and eliminate SKU out of stock
- Handle AD-Hoc tasks proactively when changes arise
What you bring:
The ideal candidate for this Merchandiser position brings a wealth of skills to the table. With a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Studies, Mass Communication or any other related field, you have a solid educational foundation.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Studies, Mass Communication or any other related field
- Good numbers and analysis skills
- 4-5 years working experience in any related field is preferred but fresh graduates are welcome to apply
- Strong commercial acumen with an interest in understanding latest consumer trends and behavior
- Self-driven with the ability to act promptly to accomplish performance targets and expectations
- Resourceful under pressure
