An organisation is seeking for a Trading Manager to join the team in Malaysia.

Our client is on the hunt for a seasoned Trading Manager with a knack for biofuels and biomass trading. This role is an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic team, working in the heart of Kuala Lumpur. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of palm plantation and oil business, and will be responsible for developing biofuels business such as raw material of Sustainable Aviation Fuel. This role offers the chance to expand existing business, strengthen client relationships, and achieve trading and sales performance together with the Headquarter Office.

What you'll do:

As a Trading Manager, you will play a pivotal role in identifying potential clients, initiating discussions, and developing business plans that optimise growth. You will implement marketing strategies, establish sales goals, and network with industry representatives to expand sales opportunities. Your role will also involve conducting high-level industry research to develop effective sales solutions. You will be the primary contact between customers and the company, handling everything from deliveries to complaints. Your ability to interact with clients, respond to important inquiries about the businesses or services, participate in collaborative business meetings, regularly review market intelligence & report for target market and product will be crucial in this role.

  • Identify potential clients and initiate discussions through various communication channels
  • Communicate initiatives, objectives, strategies, and action plans to management
  • Develop business plans that optimize growth and profitability of the company
  • Implement marketing and sales plans; establish and meet sales goals; network with industry representatives to expand sales opportunities
  • Act as primary contact between customers and the company including deliveries, forecasting, credit, complaint handling
  • Conduct high-level industry research to develop effective sales solutions
  • Interact with clients and respond to important inquiries about the businesses or services
  • Participate in collaborative business meetings to update key stakeholders
  • Regularly review market intelligence & report for target market and product
  • Review sales contracts to ensure they meet legal and corporate guidelines

What you bring:

As our ideal candidate for the Trading Manager position, you bring along a Bachelor’s Degree in any field, preferably Business Administration or Trading. You have at least 5 years of experience in biomass trading & biofuel business development. Your strong analytical abilities allow you to convert raw data into actionable business items. You have excellent knowledge of cross-cultured business entities and are able to manage difficult relations with external organizations. Your clear verbal and written communication skills in English, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously will be key to your success in this role.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in any fields, especially Business Administrations, Trading, or related
  • Minimum of 5 years working experience with exposure to biomass trading & biofuel business development
  • Strong analytical ability to convert raw data into actionable business items
