Our client is seeking a highly motivated and knowledgeable Key Account Manager to join their dynamic team. This role offers the opportunity to develop and maintain trusting relationships with major key clients, anticipate their needs, and negotiate contracts. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up effective sales, marketing, and key account strategies that are competitive in the market.
What you'll do:
As a Key Account Manager, your role will be pivotal in driving the success of our client's business. You will be entrusted with developing a deep understanding of your key accounts' needs, anticipating changes and improvements. Your strong analytical skills will enable you to understand customer profiles, behaviours, and category trends to optimise all planning and business opportunities. You will also be responsible for achieving and exceeding monthly sales targets while managing both internal and external budgets. Your ability to plan, report on account progress, set goals, and initiate quarterly actions will ensure you effectively share vital information with team members and stakeholders.
- Develop a complete understanding of key account needs
- Negotiate contracts and establish a timeline of performance
- Plan and set up effective sales, marketing and key account strategies planning which is competitive in the market
- Responsible for internal monthly sales review and externally with retail buyers
- Good in analysis and understand customer’s business, objective, customer profile, behavior, category trends to optimize all the planning and business opportunities
- Achieve and exceed monthly sales target
- Establish and oversee internal budgets within the company and external budgets with the client
- Plan and report on account progress, goals, and quarterly initiatives to share with team members / stakeholders
What you bring:
The ideal Key Account Manager will bring a wealth of experience from an FMCG environment along with a Bachelor's degree in Business, Management or Marketing. Your strong quantitative and analytical skills coupled with your passion for understanding market movements make you an ideal fit for this role. You are known for your strong interpersonal skills which aid you in building lasting relationships with clients. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) is essential for this role.
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Management, Marketing or any other related field
- At least 5 years of experience in Key Account Management, preferably FMCG environment
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills
- Passionate, driven and sound knowledge of the current market movement
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Powerpoint, Word)
