An exciting Key Account Manager (FMCG) job has just become available at one of the most respected FMCG firms based in Malaysia. Reporting directly to the Regional Sales Manager, this is a role for a marketer who is a leader in their field.
About the Key Account Manager (FMCG) Role: In this business critical role you will be responsible to be the lead point of contact for all key client matters, develop and maintain trusting relationships with major key clients.
Develop a complete understanding of key account needs, anticipate key account changes and improvements
Negotiate contracts and establish a timeline of performance
Plan and set up effective sales, marketing and key account strategies planning which is competitive in the market
Be responsible for internal monthly sales review and externally with retail buyers
Good in analysis and understand customer’s business, objective, customer profile, behaviour, category trends to optimise all the planning and business opportunities
Achieve and exceed monthly sales target
Establish and oversee internal budgets within the company and external budgets with the client
Plan and report on account progress, goals, and quarterly initiatives to share with team members/stakeholders
Collaborate with the commercial team to maximise profit by up-selling or cross-selling
To succeed in the Key Account Manager (FMCG) job, you will need to have the ability to work effectively and closely with cross-functional team such as marketing, trade marketing.
Bachelor's degree in business, management, marketing or any other related field
At least five years of experience in key account management, preferably in an FMCG environment
Strong quantitative and analytical skills
Passionate, driven with sound knowledge of the current market movement
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
Highly motivated and empowered. A person who is agile and resilient
