An exciting Distributor Account Manager job has become available at a global integrated speciality materials firm.
About the Distributor Account Manager Role: In this business critical role, you will be responsible for overseeing the performance tinted film division to ensure that all activities and plans are executed and implemented. You will also ensure that all sales targets are being achieved in the assigned sales territory.
Key Responsibilities:
Responsible for sales targets for countries, Malaysia, Indonesia and Singapore
Work with sales manager, functional partners in market development, marketing, pricing, product management and technical services to analyse the specific market(s), develop account (channel partner) strategy, define the role and strategy of each brand/customer
Lead the team by market, by customer implementation of the strategy and action plan(s)
Manage and prioritise opportunities in the funnel according to segment and brand strategy fit
Collaborate with functional partners to protect key businesses and enable wins in new opportunities with market level view
Support account engagement by building trust, and influence them to provide updated information/data, execute the brand/channel strategy
Pre-call planning and post-call analysis of the call objective
Putting together a simple framework/segment recommendation for channel partner during engagement process, if necessary
Conduct regular TMP/funnel/demand plan reviews of the account/s with respective sales manager, to ensure good alignment with PF sales strategies and key priorities
Engage with account/s, their dealers and/or key accounts (4S groups or PDIs) for discovery calls and gain market insights
Any ad hoc projects defined by supervisor
The successful Distributor Account Manager must have key experience in managing distributors and dealers within the industrial market as well as the connection with the relevant segments.
Key Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree or above
At least five years' selling experience, strong track record of business and project result delivery
Exhibit good strategic thinking capability
Highly-motivated, autonomous, excellent team player and innovative
Hands-on, detail/results-oriented, excellent problem solving and good organisational/planning skills having experience in handling industrial business
Good communication skills
Passion and potential on people and team development
Team player
