An newly created Head of Apparel & Accessories SEA (Sports Lifestyle) job has just become available at one of the top sports lifestyle retailers in Malaysia. Reporting to the Director of Buying and Merchandising, this role is based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

About the Head of Apparel & Accessories SEA (Sports Lifestyle) Role:
You will be responsible for leading the Apparel and Accessories SEA buying team, building a range plan and liaising with brands. The right candidate must have the passion, understanding of current sportswear and high street fashion trends.

Key Responsibilities:

• Representing the buying function on relevant category
• Attending all appointments, with involvement in selection and editing of product, product launches and trade shows
• Negotiating with selected brands re trading terms and conditions
• Being constantly aware of new brands and opportunities to diversify and drive department/category sales
• Managing budget negotiation and planning within internal teams and external brands
• Negotiating with brands re distribution agreements
• Working independently in a creative and trend-led environment
• Managing budgets and OTB on in seasons and forward budgets

To succeed in this Head of Apparel & Accessories SEA (Sports Lifestyle) job, you will need to have the ability to work effectively and co-operatively with senior business development teams, across borders and internal matrix.

Key Requirements:

• Experience with buying fashion is advantageous
• Experience with buying branded goods is essential
• Able to exercise a high degree of analytical and numerical skills
• Strong stakeholder management
• Extensive knowledge of the retail industry
