An exciting Account Manager (Food Ingredients) job has become available at a global integrated food manufacturer firm.
About the Account Manager (Food Ingredients) Role: In this business critical role, you will be responsible for overseeing the food ingredient business to ensure that all activities and plans are executed and implemented. You will also ensure that all sales targets are being achieved in the assigned sales territory.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and deliver the sales budget and variable margin targets for the designated territory
Develop sound strategies to enable growth and new business opportunities in existing accounts
Develop and manage direct local accounts and global accounts, through execution of strategic account plans in line with the company’s directions
Ensure strong customer engagement, communicate technically on company products
Meet or exceed agreed sales and variable margin targets for the countries as defined by food business unit management
Lead negotiation processes for customers in assigned territory
Provide timely information on key players, customer needs and local trends
Identify new opportunities and work with application team to develop and translate into new wins
The successful Account Manager (Food Ingredients) must have key experience within the food ingredient industry preferably coming from the food ingredient principal company as well as the connection with the relevant segments.
Key Requirements:
Minimum of five years of experience in technical food ingredient sales, or account management in a food ingredient business to business environment
Degree in food science. Candidates without relevant degree but relevant experience may be considered
SEA/Asia region exposure
Ability to handle multiple responsibilities and prioritise to meet deadlines
Strong sense of business acumen, and able to work cross-functionally
Excellent written, verbal communication and interpersonal skills
Demonstrated passion and skillsets for self-directed customer interaction, effective customer development, and problem-solving activities
Strong customer engagement and entrepreneurial spirit
