An exciting Sales Manager (FMCG) job has just become available at one of the most respected FMCG firms based in Malaysia. Reporting directly to the Head of Department, this is a role for a manager who is a leader in their field.
About the Sales Manager (FMCG)Role:
In this business critical role, you will be responsible for defining the broad business development strategy, delivering the highest quality service alongside the marketing department. You will also take the lead providing direction to all marketing-related activities, including brand management, market research, events management and directory/league table submissions.
KeyResponsibilities:
Achieve sales target and profit objectives of designated key account
Monitor sales achievements relative to objectives and initiate programs/activities to ensure sales targets are achieved
Ensure high accuracy of monthly sales forecast and ensure sufficient stocks with healthy shelf life
Negotiate with buyer on promo cost and margin and plan to achieve account profitability
Manage and optimise trade fund and achieve planned trade spend KPIs
Identify and pursue opportunities for extending distribution and increasing sales through promotional activities with designated retailers/outlets
Good and sound knowledge on the Category Marketing by channel and the ability to articulate the understanding into commercial strategy to drive the Pharmacy channel
Experience handling external data management – AC Nielsen, Kantar, Shopper insights
To succeed in the Sales Manager (FMCG) job, you will need to have the ability to work effectively and co-operatively with senior business development teams, across borders and internal matrix.
KeyRequirements:
Degree qualifications in Business or related field.
At least five years in sales management in the fast-moving consumer goods industry
Strong ability to set clear measurable objectives, delegate responsibilities, assess, recognise and reward performance
Strong leadership with excellent influencing, communication and presentation skills
Experience of managing Hyper/Supermarket and Pharmacy Channel in the fast-moving consumer goods industry
Proven sales track record
